“Under the Army’s guidance, six of our staff have now been fully trained to administer the tests which will allow the army to move on to support other businesses whilst we will ensure we retain weekly testing to safeguard our team.”

The rapid testing has certainly been well received by staff commending the firm for acting quickly in bringing in these processes to give peace of mind to those who still need to be working in the manufacturing plants.

HNC precision engineering apprentice, Matt Barnes, added: “We have always been as Covid-19 compliant with the relevant PPE and safety measures as we could but by having the rapid test just gives the team that extra support and confidence that entering work that day is as safe as it possible could be.

"It’s also a morale booster knowing that the businesses is putting our health and safety at the forefront as we work in a sector which needs to remain open.”
