In an effort to help higher-risk residents during the lockdown, The Fence Gate last week served more than 50 meals to the area's most vulnerable people over the age of 80, delivering freshly-prepared shepherd's pie directly to people's front doors.

With the restaurant's owner, Kevin Berkins, explaining that he and his staff 'couldn’t think of a better way to ensure we play our part and to reach as many people as we can, safely', The Fence Gate has made another delivery, this time serving home-made lasagne. And in reply, they received warm messages of gratitude from some residents.
