Posters have been put up aross Burnley and Padiham reminding people to ensure their trip to the park is essential.

The strict measures come as thousands of people across the UK were pictured this week gathering in groups and driving to beauty spots and parks to go for the walks.

A spokesman for Burnley Police said: "Please remember all trips out of the address MUST be essential for the safety of yourself and others.

"All exercise should be completed from your home address.

"We appreciate your help in keeping others safe."
