Large drop in new Covid infections for Pendle this week

Pendle's Covid statistics this week show that the number of new cases is down by almost a third to 53 and the infection rate has reduced by over half to 47.8 compared to last week's figures.

Thankfully, also, no-one has died in the borough this week within 28 days of testing positive of the virus.

Overall, there have been 9,416 confirmed cases in Pendle since the start of the pandemic and 237 deaths.

A Pendle Council spokesman said: "We are saying big thank you to everyone for helping to reduce the spread of the virus and the message is - please keep doing your bit.
