An amount of 12 units was donated at Oakmount Veterinary Centre on Trafalgar Street in Burnley by a raft of magnanimous mutts to treat their fellow pooches in peril.

Jenny Walton, Veterinary Supervisor for PBB, said: “It was great to be able to celebrate World Blood Donor Day at Oakmount Vets in Burnley.

“We’d like to say a huge thank you to all our fantastic donors and owners who took the time to come along to the session as well as a big thanks to our colleagues at Oakmount for hosting us.”

The PBB, a UK-based charity, was launched in 2007 and celebrated its 7,000th lifesaver milestone in February.
