Thomas Whitham Sixth Form students hit the West End where they enjoyed Oscar Wilde's breakthrough 1892 comedy "Lady Windermere’s Fan", directed by Kathy Burke.

The production starred Jennifer Saunders in her first West End performance for 25 years. Alongside her were two-time Olivier Award-winner Samantha Spiro, comedian and actor Kevin Bishop, and debut award-winner Grace Molony, as well as Joshua James and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air’s Joseph Marcell.

Mr Russell Lane, from the sixth form's performing arts department, said: "The play, a set text for English Literature students, was certainly brought to life, and a great day was had by all."
