A spot of kindness can go a long way

It was a dotty day at school when pupils dressed in spots to help raise money for Children in Need.

During Pennies for Pudsey hosted by St James’ Lanehead CE Primary School, Burnley, pupils dressed in non-uniform in exchange for a donation.

Headteacher Miss Stott said: “It was an overwhelming success and we were amazed by the generosity of the staff and pupils, Mrs Moses (Year 6 teacher) and the children spent most of the afternoon counting all the pennies.

“Our children and families are extremely compassionate and always give generously. I am proud of all our children.”

The total raised was £301.05.
