St James Lanehead CE Primary School Key Stage 2 Senior Leader and Year 6 teacher Mrs Alison Moses is marking her 30th year of teaching.

Mrs Moses, who lives in Bury, started her teaching career as Miss Stonehewer at Ightenhill Primary School in Burnley. She then moved to St Thomas’ Barrowford as the deputy headteacher but her heart was with the children of Burnley, despite living in Bury.

She joined St James as a Senior Leader in September 2013. Mrs Moses’ main passion is mathematics and she leads the school in this area.

Her other passion is craft work and she enjoys sewing and knitting, having taught many of pupils and staff how to knit in her ‘knit and natter club’.

Headteacher Michelle Dugdale said: "Mrs Moses is an asset to the St James’ family and we feel very lucky to have her here with us."
