Girls net victory in football competition

An all girl football team from a Burnley primary school was celebrating today after winning a sports competition.

The team from Holy Trinity Primary won the competition aimed at getting year three and four girls more involved in football and encourage them to join teams.

Eight teams competed in the event organised by Burnley Football Club in the Community with Burnley Sports Partnership and the Holy Trinity team managed to draw one game and won four out of five games they played.
