Daredevil Rosie's leap into the unknown for Burnley school

A daredevil teaching assistant will face her fears head on when she attempts a tandem skydive to raise money for a charity at her school.

Rosie Garnett, who works in Class 3 at Holly Grove School in Barden Lane, Burnley, will jump from 11,000ft to raise money for the Georgia Fourie Butterfly Fund.

The fund was set up in 2009 to raise money and improve and enhance the lives of the very special pupils of Holly Grove School in memory of popular pupil Gorgia who sadly died.

It became a registered charity in 2015 and supporters now have many new ventures in the pipeline to benefit pupils and families.

The skydive is taking place on Sunday July 1st at 10am at Cockerham Parachute Centre.
