Having served over 300,000 meals during her time at Whittlefield she has always gone above and beyond in ensuring children are catered for, and will be missed by students and staff who described her as caring, kind and friendly.

Sadly, due to the coronavirus lockdown, school was closed meaning Mrs Procter didn't get the send off she rightly deserves. However, children, their families and staff sent written messages and videos which were compiled and presented to her on her last day.

Mrs Helen Kershaw, Whittlefield Primary School's headteacher ,wrote: "The day has come when we have to say goodbye. You are an amazing lady for whom nothing is too much trouble. You have always taken the time to get to know each child, their likes and dislikes. We have been truly blessed to have you here at Whittlefield."

A celebration assembly will take place at a later date for Jackie's belated goodbye.
