Burnley company is alert on security for UCLan halls of residence
Burnley-based Alert Fire and Security have taken over the fire and security maintenance contracts for Burnley’s new university building.
The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) halls of residence is situated on the new Weavers' Triangle development and opened in September.
Lindsey Robinson, account manager at Alert, said: “We are thrilled to be taking over the maintenance and monitoring of the fire and security systems for the building and continue to work and support Burnley Council. Our range of expertise and experience will ensure that the building remains safe and protected for our next generation of students.”
The new halls of residence is owned by Burnley Borough Council, with the university providing the day-to-day services. With 136 en-suite bedrooms within 29 flats, each flat has a communal kitchen and 4/5 bedrooms.
