Reedley Primary School student Aleeza, who was cheered on by her classmates when she was presented with the award in assembly, said she was incredibly proud to win the Sue Dean Writing Award, which is named after one of the school's late Lancashire English Consultants.

Sue was passionate about writing and worked tirelessly to inspire children to get the best out of their education, with the award baring her name now presented to the children who are deemed to have made the most significant progress with their writing.
