New vets opens in historic Burnley stable block
A former stable block in a historic Burnley building is, fittingly, the home of a new veterinary practice in the town.
The family-owned, independent, Rose Valley Vets has opened in the stable block next to the former Inn on the Wharf in Burnley's historic Weavers' Triangle.
The new venture is not just good news for animal lovers, but heritage enthusiasts too, who will be pleased a new use has been found for the Grade II listed building, whilst being sympathetically restored.
Alys Hubbert, who will be working at the practice, said: "We are a family owned independent business and the owner is our head vet as well.
"Our focus is on becoming part of the community and having our clients feel like part of our family. We have a small team of two vets, three nurses, two animal care assistants and one receptionist.
"This is so that clients will see the same faces and we can build a relationship with them. Our clinic is built in the stable block at the Inn on the Wharf. It is a grade II listed building and we have kept mainly of the original features whilst creating a modern facility inside."
