The site has a mixture of two, three and four bedroom houses for local people, which were all snapped up prior to completion.

Burnley MP Julie Cooper said: “I am very pleased to hear that all residents have now settled in to Aickman Place.

“The development reflects the diverse nature of the Burnley borough, and has made high-quality homes accessible for those who may not be in a position to buy.”

A launch for the development took place last week and was attended by Great Places assistant director of development Helen Spencer; director of Cruden Construction Ian Woolrich; Cruden Construction’s contract manager for the scheme Peter Blake; Great Places neighbourhood officer Nosheen Mehrban; and Aickman Place residents.

Helen Spencer said: “We are delighted that families have now moved into Aickman Place and are enjoying their new homes. The development provides much needed affordable rental properties in the area, and in a spectacular location on the Leeds-Liverpool canal.”

Approximately £4.5m. has been spent on the development, with £1.1m. of funding awarded by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).

The site was bought in February 2015.
