Expansion for Burnley bed linen company

Mediterranean Lines, which is part of the Linen Supply Group, has also recently moved into the retail sector launching a new website.

The new venture follows the expansion of the company's sales and distribution centre to include the development of a 2,400sq. ft showroom, and the recent acquisition of a building owned by Scott Dawson Advertising on Billington Road Industrial Estate, which will add an additional 27,000 sq. ft of warehousing space to the business.

Ashraf Said, Mediterranean Linens' founder and managing director, talked up the company's eco-friendly credentials.

He said: "The market is changing in the textile industry. Increased awareness of sustainability, the need to reduce waste and growing concern about our environment has led us to develop a range that meets the needs of today's consumer.

"We all know that cheap fabric and fast fashion is an environmental disaster. That's why all our bedlinen is made from 100% Egyptian cotton which is renewable and biodegradable, making it an excellent choice as an environmentally friendly product."
