Fleet management specialists Tyreoo – formerly known as Colne Tyre Centre – will oversee the entire fleet management and maintenance of Leisure Guard Security’s 60 vehicles, and ensure all 300 employees have the correct documentation to legally drive for the firm.

Tyreoo has been tasked to make sure all vehicles are roadworthy, taxed, insured and MOT certificates. The company will also undertake three-month checks on drivers to ensure they have valid driving licences.

The fleet management experts will also check the vehicle details with the DVLA and deal with any penalty charge notices (PCNs). Drivers will face random vehicle spot-checks and log any defects on Tyreoo’s app.

Tyreoo managing director Azhar Iqbal said: “It’s easy to take compliance for granted. Most directors do not realise they are responsible for the drivers’ safety and the vehicles roadworthy condition. Failure to meet these standards can result in huge fines and, in some instances, prison sentences for the directors.

“Our fleet management service works 24/7 to keep you and your fleet compliant. This is a fantastic deal for us and one we are delighted to have secured.

“We have invested a lot of money in the software, which will allow us to fully monitor the vehicles and effectively safe you money on maintenance costs, administration and fines."

Leisure Guard Security, based in Bolton, offers a range of packages to safeguard both domestic and commercial properties across the North West.

The two businesses met through Saffron Group, a Lancashire-based business networking group that promotes the benefits of diversity among businesses and individuals.

Azhar said: “It’s a really good group to be involved with and the aim is to collectively provide a full range of services to businesses across the UK.”

Saj Kadva, operations director at Leisure Guard Security, said: “We are pleased to have found a company, which provides such a great service.

“Tyreoo makes the whole process, from booking to returning the vehicle, so simple and hassle-free. We are delighted to be working with them.”

Tyreoo, based at Bridge Street, Colne, has set itself a target of 25 new acquisitions before 2025.

Azhar wants to expand supplying tyres, MoT and servicing to across East Lancashire.
