Burnley hotel praised for helping NHS workers during coronavirus pandemic

The owners of a Burnley hotel are looking forward to continuing restoration plans after spending the past three months offering up emergency accommodation to NHS workers.

Significant investment has already been injected into the Brun Lea Hotel premises, formerly known as the Keirby, with a full deep clean of the iconic ballroom, a brand new reception area and upgrades to the bedrooms.

Visiting the hotel, which is now open for business, Burnley MP Antony Higginbotham MP praised the work of owners Tony Hussain, and partner Kay, throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

He said: “Tony and Kay have done tremendously well, offering rooms to both NHS workers and those who need emergency accommodation during the past three months and for that they should be commended. What they are doing to revamp the hotel is great and they have my full support in getting the place up and running once again”.

Tony has been working closely with the authorities to renovate the building and their friendly and welcoming approach to guests is winning them good reviews on social media from guests.
