Bittersweet reopening for renowned Burnley pizza shop

The renowned Enzo's pizza shop in Burnley is reopening its doors this week – three months after the death of its co-founder.

The death of Vincenzo 'Enzo' Manta led to thousands of tributes being paid online from all over the world and friends and customers lined Colne Road to pay tribute as Enzo's funeral cortege passed the shop.

The move to re-open Enzo's Pizza Takeaway from this Wednesday at 4pm, has the support of Enzo Manta's son Nico, who said: "I want to personally thank Lillo my uncle and my godfather for reopening Enzo's.

"He has the support of myself and all of the Manta family. We know he will keep the spirit of my dad alive in the shop."

"We would like to say a huge thank you to all our amazing customers and friends for your incredible messages of kindness and support to the Manta family. There aren't many words to describe the immense void we now have in our lives from the tragic loss of, Vincenzo (Enzo), who will always remain at the heart of what Enzo's is and always will be."

Strict social distancing measures will be in place at the shop which will be open on the following days and times: Monday 4pm - 10pm; Tuesday closed. Wednesday 4pm - 10pm; Thursday 4pm - 10pm; Friday 3.30pm - 10pm; Saturday 3.30pm - 10pm; Sunday 3.30pm - 10pm.
