Top organist Ian Hare to play in Burnley

A leading national organise, who has played concerts at all the UK’s major concert halls and cathedrals, will be performing in Burnley

Ian Hare will give a 60-minute concert on Saturday (March 29th) at 11am at St Peter’s Church, Church Street, Burnley.

Admission is £4 for ults £4 and free for the under 18s (light refreshments included and served from 10-30am).

Ian, who recorded a CD of the organ in St Peter’s in 2006, has previously played at St Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey, as well as in the BBC proms at the Royal Albert Hall.

He returns to Cambridge next year to give a recital at Kings’ College, home of the famous choir and annual carol service. Ian has accompanied this choir for their worldwide Christmas broadcast of lessons and carols, and has produced a number of recordings with them.

Appointed Fellow of Lancaster University in 2006, he has held the post of University Organist there since the mid 1970s.
