The Word of God is coming to Burnley!

Three cultural guerillas will be bringing the Word of God to Burnley soon in their UK tour!

The Reduced Shakespeare Company will present “The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged)” at Burnley Mechanics on Tuesday, March 25th.

And they promise that, whether you are Catholic or Atheist, Muslim or Jew, Protestant, Atheist or Jedi, you will be tickled by their romp through old-time religion.

Writers Adam Long, Reed Martin & Austin Tichenor will tackle the questions you’ve always wanted to ask, but never dared, such as: did Adam and Eve have navels? Did Moses really look like Charlton Heston? And why isn’t the word “phonetic” spelled the way it sounds?

This affectionate, irreverent roller coaster ride from fig leaves to Final Judgment is the latest production from the group known as “The Bad Boys of Abridgement”, who have previously tackled “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)”, “The Complete History of America (abridged)” and “The Complete World of Sports (abridged)”.
