Theatre Review: The Wiggles on tour

A moment in history for fans of The Wiggles. Stalwarts Jeff, Murray and Greg have decided to call it a day after 21 years.

And their current UK tour is giving the trio a chance to sign off, before they hand over to Emma, Lachlan, and Simon.

The secret of their success is that they know how to entertain children. My two, Ruaridh and Flora, love them, whether they are performing acrobatic sequences, singing favourites such as “Hot Potato’’and “Fruit Salad’’ or just having fun on stage.

Joining them at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall were Wiggly friends; Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and the world famous Wiggly dancers.

And its just wonderful watching the young ones joining in the dances, handing over roses and bones to Dorothy the Dinosaur and Wags the Dog and just having good old fashioned fun. Let’s just hope the new Wiggles can keep the show going for another 21 years!
