That all features in “Illumination,” a play by Donna Worthington, directed by Bill Hopkinson and with animations by Helen Newall, which can be seen on Sunday, July 28th, at Blackburn Cathedral at 7pm. The play has been created to celebrate the return of the Lindisfarne Gospels to the North-East this summer.

It weaves visual images from the pages around a contemporary story to bring back those ancient pictures to our churches’ walls.
