Monkeywood spent hundreds of hours with young parents from the region gathering true stories, opinions and insights that were surprising, moving and honest. FLESH is a play based on these stories and follows three young people as they become parents for the first time. It opened at Manchester’s Royal Exchange in November and then went on tour. The issue of teenage parenthood is particularly relevant to the area, with East Lancashire having among the highest rates in the country.
