Stonyhurst College Christmas celebration

Starting at 7 p.m. in St Peter’s Church, Stonyhurst, the concert will feature the traditional Nine Lessons and carols followed by mulled wine and mince pies.

There will be a collection in aid of several children’s charities. Everyone is welcome.

St Peter’s has just re-opened after a year of refurbishment. As well as extensive stone repairs to the main fabric of the building, stencilling from the 1850s and 1950s and the magnificent roof have been cleaned and repainted.

The church also now has new lighting, disabled access and a new heating system.

This is a great opportunity to see the results as well as spreading festive cheer.
