It features the Steeton Male Voice Choir, who will make the short journey across the county boundary from their home near Keighley, West Yorkshire, to perform in Padiham.

Having celebrated their centenary in 2008 and with a fine tradition of prize-winning singing, this 80-strong choir is much in demand and will sing at more than 20 concerts this season, including three in mainland Europe.

Padiham Unitarian Chapel’s wonderful acoustics should make it a fine setting for what promises to be a very enjoyable and memorable concert.

The Musical Extravaganza events, organised by Barry Brown, raise money for the North West Air Ambulance and the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund. Renowned for the high standard of performers they attract, the concerts draw a large part of their audience from the Ribble Valley.

This Saturday’s (March 8th) concert starts at 7-30pm and the admission price of £7 on the door includes light refreshments.

The next concert in the series is on May 3rd and will feature the highly acclaimed Ribble Valley-based band The Swing Commanders. For details about the concerts, contact Barry Brown on 01282 773336 or by email to: [email protected]
