Describing his fabulous picture, Graham said “I was at the summit of Raise admiring the clouds all below my feet when the sun cast my shadow on to those clouds resulting in a rainbow halo being formed around my shadow. This is know as a Brocken Spectre and it’s when an object (me in this case) is directly between the sun and a bank of mist/cloud.”

“The halo is known as ‘The Glory’, the spectre is my shadow and Brocken comes from the mountain of the same name in Germany where this was first recorded.”
