‘Pavarotti of the organ’ Carlo Curley to perform in Padiham
The larger-than-life American virtuoso – often described as “the Pavarotti of the organ” – will star at the latest in a series of charity concerts hosted by Padiham’s Nazareth Unitarian Chapel. These concerts, featuring a variety of artists, always draw a good crowd, but this Saturday’s (March 5th) should be a sellout.
Carlo Curley’s self-proclaimed mission is “to establish the organ at the forefront of musical instruments, even if it takes the rest of my life”, and he has already gone a long way to achieving that. He is a true showman who seduces audiences with his keyboard fireworks, entertaining patter and sheer enthusiasm.
