Passion of the tango heats up Burnley ...

THE passion of the tango came to Burnley for one night only with “Strictly Come Dancing” stars Vincent Simone and Flavia Caccace lighting up the big screen at the Apollo cinema.

The red hot duo brought the Latino flare of the tango to town with the exclusive live screening of the hit show “Midnight Tango”. The breathtaking evening of dance evoked the passion and drama of a late night bar in downtown Buenos Aires and the audience was left wowed as danger, joy, jealously and pain all combined in this explosive dance extravaganza.

“Midnight Tango” is currently playing to sell-out crowds across the UK, having been seen by 180,000 people and is set to take up residency in the West End in 2012.

Among the audience at the Apollo was Burnley Express reader Mrs Hazel Wilkinson and her mother Mrs Alice Brown who are huge fans of “Strictly Come Dancing”.

Here is Hazel’s review of the show:

“The production was live from a theatre in Bristol and the setting was a late night bar in downtown Buenos Aires. The bartender and his long-suffering wife gave the performance humour. The dancers were very good but Flavia and Vincent were awesome! The story-telling through dance was excellent and there is no doubt why they are world champions in Latin American dance. Their dancing was passionate, sensual and the dance moves were breathtaking at times. The choreography by Arlene Phillips was excellent and my only regret was I could not see the performance live myself. Although the cinema-goers were few I sensed that everyone enjoyed the show.”
