Open mic night at Burnley cafe on song

A VINTAGE Burnley cafe has been serving up some real musical treats of late.

Guitars and keyboards are becoming as common as scones and cakes at ARTisan Tearooms, Standish Street, as its regular open mic night rises in popularity.

At last month’s showcase Bryony Perks opened the floor, James Seymour recited more of his humorous poetry and Ian Adamson entertained while newcomers Robin-Haldane Denton, Jess Hind and Richard Cunningham all performed.

The next open mic night will be held on Friday, August 19th, from 6-30 p.m. It is £4 on the door and guests can bring their own alcoholic drinks
