Go West, Hue Cry and The Christians are currently on a whistle stop tour of the country, next stop being at The Philharmonic Theatre in Liverpool on Wednesday, November 27th.

I had a sneak preview of what’s on offer and the frontmen are looking good for their age. Leader of Merseyside stars The Christians, Garry Christian still sports the raybans and has a distinctive voice which rolled back the years as he belted out such favourites as Harvest for the World and Ideal World.

Hue Cry are best known for such haunting songs as Violently and Mother Glasgow and frontman Pat Kane certainly knows how to entertain, having the audience eating out of his hand as he toned down the concert with some lovely romantic and social message songs.

It was up to Go West main man Pete Cox to bounce on stage and prove despite his years, he still can dance, sing and have a good time.
