Led Zeppelin tribute band ‘Whole Lotta Led’ to rock King George’s Hall

On November 8th, 1971, Led Zeppelin released what was to become one of the greatest albums of all time – “Led Zeppelin IV”.

Now, to celebrate and commemorate the 40th anniversary of this incredible album, Whole Lotta Led will be performing a large number of their special Led Zeppelin IV shows throughout 2011, including King George’s Hall in Blackburn on Saturday, February 19th.

The first half of this special show will consist of a selection of songs from Led Zeppelin’s vast back catalogue.

The second half features the whole of “Led Zeppelin IV” played in the same sequence as the original LP.

“Led Zeppelin IV” is unquestionably one of the greatest albums of all time, containing an astonishing range of musical styles, from the dirty blues of “When The Levee Breaks”, to the sublime “Going To California” and not forgetting the all time classic “Stairway To Heaven”.

In their heyday Led Zeppelin shunned TV and never released singles. Despite this they became the biggest rock band of the 70s and one of the greatest rock bands of all time.

Despite disbanding in 1980, after the untimely death of their drummer John Bonham, Led Zeppelin’s reputation and legacy of incredible songs continue to survive and appeal to an ever-increasing audience of fans who, in the absence of the original, need look no further than Whole Lotta Led.

The current line-up has been on the road now for 11 years and in 2009 actually celebrated their 1000th gig.

Playing more than 100 gigs a year to enthusiastic audiences of all ages, their shows celebrate the complete spectrum of Led Zeppelin’s diverse catalogue of outstanding songs.
