Chantel McGregor is bringing the blues to King George’s Hall

THE rise of blues starlet Chantel McGregor has been meteoric.

And for those yet to see the highly-talented singer-songwriter she will be playing live at King George’s Hall in Blackburn on Saturday, April 1st.

Chantel got her own acoustic guitar aged just three and started lessons at the age of seven.

She soon realised though that not only did the electric guitars have a smaller neck, making them ideal for little hands, but they could also make a lot more noise.

After more lessons and a lot more noise, she became the youngest person in the country, aged just eight, to pass a Rockschool grade.

A singing voice was then put to her obvious guitar talents when she began attending the famous Melborn Hotel in Bradford to play and sing at the weekly jam session.

Helped and encouraged by all the musicians, she developed rapidly into an incredible rock and blues musician and is now one of the country’s must-see acts.
