Burnley gets ready for Towneley Live!

THE wait is almost over!

Towneley Live festival rolls into town this Saturday bringing with it a star-studded line-up – the like of which Burnley has never seen.

N-Dubz, The Saturdays (pictured), McFly, Diversity and Scouting For Girls are all confirmed for the event with Hapton songstress Nicole Talmer also set to take the festival by storm after winning the Towneley Live singing competition.The massive family event, which has been given the full support of Burnley Borough Council, will be the biggest music festival ever staged in Burnley.

McFly, famous for a string of number one hits including “5 Colours In Her Hair”, “Obviously”, “All About You” and “Star Girl”, will be kicking off proceedings, getting the thousands of fans expected to descend on Towneley Park in the mood for what promises to be day of pop heaven.

Pop princesses The Saturdays, who have scored eight UK Top 10 singles since they formed in 2007, will no doubt dazzle on the big stage while N-Dubz, who have become one of the UK’s biggest hip-hop groups in the past couple of years, have been tearing up the festival scene this summer.

Dynamic dance group Diversity, winners of 2009’s “Britain’s Got Talent”, are renowned for their hich-octane, thrill-a-second performances and Scouting For Girls are now one of the country’s leading pop acts with a string of hits under their belts.
