Book review: The Road Headed West by Leon McCarron
Author Leon McCarron was worried that he faced life behind a desk.
So he hopped on his bike and headed off across America with an overloaded bike packed with everything, but common sense.
Over five months and 6,000 miles, he cycled from New York to Seattle and then onto the Mexican border, facing tornadoes, swollen river crossings and one hungry black bear on the way.
But he also met kindness from strangers who helped him on the road to adventure. A great read.
