Book Review: The Killer Cat by Anne Fine
Former children’s laureate Anne Fine has been entertaining children with The Killer Cat books for years.
And her latest has won two new fans, Ruaridh (6) and Flora (3). Poor old Tuffy is a much misunderstood cat and is always getting into scrapes.
In the latest book he doesn’t feel wanted at home any more as he feels his owners just don’t appreciate him. Ok, he broke the television, got fur on all Dad’s clean clothes and ate Tinkerbell the kitten’s special food. But all these mishaps were accidents and everyone made such a fuss.
So Tuffy decides to make a break for it and bids farewell to his pals Snowball, Tiger and Bella and so he runs away. But what happens next makes Tuffy have a rethink!
