Book review: Sparky At Magic School by Ruby Nash
Sparky is a lively puppy who lives in an animal rescue centre.
He dreams of having an owner and one night he is accidentally whisked away on a broomstick and taken to Mrs Mothwick’s magic academy.
His classmates include black kittens, bats and owlets, all training to become the familiar of a young witch. They all seem to match their witches perfectly, but Sparky is too playful and he isn’t magical.
