And what a great little book it is! There are 40 true stories which reveal the things that went wrong or got them into trouble, from Wanderlust magazine editor Phoebe Smith surviving a hurricane in Cuba, to newspaperman Simon Calder recalling his many acts of irresponsible travel which terrified him at the time, but make fascinating reading for the rest of us, happily sitting in our armchairs!
