Beagles about as park takes lead in dog meet-up

Towneley Park is taking the lead when it comes to dog walking '“ after it played host to a specially arranged beagle meet.

The event, organised by Jessica Hope, said the meeting had proved a huge success, with beagle owners from around the region descending on Burnley with their canine companions.

She said: “The walk was a great success. I have been inundated with messages off people asking me to arrange another one.

“I have therefore arranged another for January 8th at noon, meeting at Towneley Hall. I’m expecting people from all over the north west will be attending.

“I am hosting it for a beagle who was rehomed and it will be his seventh birthday but first with his new family.

“Hopefully, this and other such meets will bring awareness of rehoming dogs and also attract more dog walkers to the area.”
