ROCK band Heat vs. Light are hoping to follow in the footsteps of Elbow and Doves with the release of their new EP.
The Burnley-based band first formed with duo JP Keenan and Paul Higham in 2004 and quickly released their first mini album, "The Haunted Tapes" in 2005.
After the album the band re-emerged with a new line-up consisting of brothers Paul and Lee Rogerson (drums and bass), Sean Roche (guitars) and original member JP Keenan (vocals/ guitars/ keys). The band describe their style as dark, uplifting, epic and intelligent and have been likened to Interpol and Radiohead among others. The new line-up have now been together one and a half years and have spent most of their time recording.
They played their first gig on Friday, April 17th, supporting Badhands at The Press Room, Mechanics, Burnley, to promote the new EP, which has three tracks and is on sale from Astonishing Sounds, Burnley, for £2.
