Burnley will again be under the antiques television spotlight when a popular television show, filmed in the town, is broadcast on Thursday.

The “Antiques Road Trip”, where experts hunt for local finds and compete with each other to make a profit at auction, was filmed at Karlen Antiques.

It will be broadcast on Thursday on BBC1 at 4-30pm.

Partners Michael and Linda Heuer welcomed the cameras last September to their Bank Hall Works premises.

Michael said: “The filming was great fun. Expert Charles Wilson came along and was his usual boisterous self.

“He was running up and down the aisles larger than life. He met his match, though, with one one of our stallholders, Sharon Maud, who gave him a run for his money. They filled the centre with laughter.”

The centre has 40 stalls, including one run by Burnley television star Alice Barry.

Burnley’s Towneley Hall was the recent setting for an episode of the BBC’s long-running “Antiques Roadshow”.
