A young sing star has been selected to record a song for activity centre Wacky Warehouse.
Seven-year-old Lilly-May Austin is one of eight children who will travel over to Rotherham to record the track and star in a music video after winning a national competition.
Her mum, Sarah-May, entered the competition after seeing it on Facebook.
“I had to write in and say why I think she deserved to win,” said Sarah, who lives in Thames Avenue, Burnley. “I told them that she sings all the time. At the minute she won’t stop singing all the Frozen songs. It was over a month ago when I sent in the form and to be honest I’d completely forgotten about it when they rang me up.”
The St James Lanehead Primary School pupil has also won unlimited play at Wacky Warehouse for 12 months and a £50 meal voucher.
“She was so excited when I told her that she’d won. I didn’t tell her that I’d entered her so it was a real surprise. She can’t wait to go and record the song. We go there in August.”
