An aspiring young actor is celebrating after being accepted into the biggest performance arts college in the UK.
Max Preston, a Year 11 pupil at Unity College, beat off competition from hundreds of other applicants to be accepted into the Tring Park School for Performing Arts, Hertfordshire.
The 16-year-old, whose stage ambition was inspired by seeing “The Lion King” in London.
Max’s Unity College dance teacher Mrs Michelle Anderson said: “This is a fantastic achievement and marks the beginning of the journey for him becoming a star. He has worked so hard to achieve his goals and is a model professional in every aspect of his work.”
Tring is famous for producing new talent with former students including Dame Julie Andrews, Sarah Brightman, Jane Seymour and Amy Nuttall. Max will be the school’s first student from Burnley.
