PENDLE’S first Guitar Festival looks set to be a huge success.

Live music, free guitar lessons and recording sessions, guitar valuations and a chance to buy, sell and trade new, used and vintage guitars will be on offer at The Ace Centre, Nelson, on Sunday, June 5th.

Ace Centre studio engineer Andrea Quarin said: “This event is the first of its kind for Pendle, East Lancs and possibly even the North West.

“There will be lots happening, including live Jazz, Blues and Folk music in the bistro, Acoustic, Jazz and Rock guitar performances and workshops will be given by Adam Palma, Adrian Ingram and Nigel “Idolfrets” Pickering.

“There will also be free guitar lessons for all levels and a chance to make a free 10-minute recording in our studio.

“There will be more than 70 stalls selling guitars, amps and related items and even one selling ‘60s memorabilia.

“People can bring along their own guitar for a free evaluation with the possibility of selling it to traders.”

“This will be an ideal opportunity for anyone wanting to buy, sell or trade new, vintage or used guitars, amps and accessories.

“This will be any musician or music-lover’s dream day out. It is going to be huge and we are really excited to be hosting it at The ACE Centre.” The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Tickets cost £3 in advance and £4 on the door. To book, or for more information, call (01282) 661080.
