BURNLEY’S Apollo Cinema is welcoming back two of the biggest boys bands the world has ever seen for a live extravaganza.

The cinema is showing a live screening of New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys’ one off concert at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday at 8 p.m.

In their 90s heyday, New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys clocked up over 200 million record sales and countless teenage hearts as well.

With hits like “Step by Step” and “Hangin’ Tough” from NKOTB and “Quit Playing Games With My Heart” and “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” from the Backstreet Boys, the two bands spearheaded the soundtrack to millions of teenage girls.

Mr Andrew Smith, general manager of Apollo Cinemas in Burnley, said: “It’s fantastic that we’re able to bring this huge pop spectacle to cinemagoers in Burnley. We can’t wait to see the boys perform their hits and we’ll definitely have the earplugs at the ready in preparation for the screaming crowds!”
