What the weather forecasters at the Met Office have to say about conditions tonight and this weekend as people across the North West prepare to mark Bonfire Night:

Today: Rain is expected to die off in the early evening, after downpours are forecast all afternoon, leaving a fine night, with temperatures of around 12 degrees.

Tomorrow: Rain for a large part of the morning and afternoon before a fine night is forecast, with temperatures of around 10 degrees.

Saturday: Rain for a large part of the morning and early afternoon before a fine night is forecast, with temperature of around 10 degrees, although the wind is expected to have picked up.
