FASHION conscious students from Marsden Heights Commuity College have been given the lowdown on fashion through the ages by a top Burnley designer.

The Year 7 to 10 pupils were given an inspirational talk by Carrie-Ann Kay who has made a name for herself in the fashion world.

Pupils were told how the ever-changing trends often come around again and again, and that each time we are constantly reviving a particular era. They discussed the iconic fashions before coming up with their own takes on particular decades.

Business manager at the school Mrs Janet Green said: “It was a very inspirational talk for the pupils and they learnt a great deal. They were very productive and came up with some good ideas and designs.”
