Volunteers and staff prepared an array of delicious foods from around the world, which were available for staff and visitors to sample.

Those attending could also try out henna painting, see a special performance from the Thieving Magpies morris dancers, and they could also take part in a fun quiz.

The first prize of £30 went to Calico customer Sylvia Miah, of Burnley.

Another Calico customer, Sheherbano Shafaat, said: “I really enjoyed myself today. I loved the food and gained so much knowledge.”
