Book Review: School Yarns and Howlers

BOOKS make a popular gift at Christmas and publishers Summersdale have some real crackers out to cater for all ages.

School Yarns and Howlers, by Dickie Archer, £8.99. This book is hilarious and gives you a chance to take a trip down memory lane and remember some of the strange conversations you had in class.

Take a classic example: teacher: “What did the Israelites do on coming out of the Red Sea?’’, boy: “Dried themselves sir!’’

I had a real good chuckle as I read this book and it even made school sound fun!
