MY son Ruaridh loves The Broons and Oor Wullie. And it made his day when he had the chance to read a new summer annual.

Packed with comic strips and puzzles, it really is a beauty. Artist Peter Davidson has created some lovely cartoons and the colourful book will keep the children quiet for hours.

Its packed with old-fashioned games from ludo to snakes and ladders, featuring characters from the comic strip. There’s even a Mystic Maw section, where Maw Broon gives some fortune telling tips!
